Plan your gutter cleaning
Start with the surface.
Then set the scope.
Be clear about the gutter concern
Say whether you are asking about leaves and debris inside the gutter, visible marks on the outside, or both. These are different tasks and should be listed separately.
Height and access matter
Tell us the number of stories and include ground-level photos of the gutter runs. Note pool enclosures, narrow passages, landscaping, and other features below. There is no need to climb a ladder to take initial photos.
Describe drainage issues
If you notice overflow or water collecting in a specific area, explain where and when it happens. Mention loose sections, damaged downspouts, and previous repairs; cleaning and structural repair are different scopes.
